Explanation of Activities Relevant to Service:

            (2) Tinkerlab: reviewed and reordered the supply order list from last year and this year

           (9) New to the role of Director of Tinkerlab, supervised and maintained safety within the lab surroundings, and the interns, trained interns on equipment, operated the space, created intern schedule, listed duties, and received a 5-to-8-page report of their work during the semester to create data and statistic information for the future of Tinkerlab.

           (12) a semester length of serving as a member of the search committee for the Dean of Faculty, attending meetings, created questionaries, scheduled appointments with candidates, I was involved in the newsletter regarding the updated information to the university about our procedures with candidates, interviewed and recommended the decision to the Provost with our report.

           (13/16/18) arranged the exhibition schedule, promoted the gallery, repaired, and painted the wall, and canceled the annual faculty exhibition to support Ko Nam's work due to the previous exhibition, "River of Truth," extended dates by the Provost's request.

           (14) Constellation Corporation grant $3,616

           (15) New to the role of Director of Tinkerlab, maintaining emails of requests, corresponded with interns to work with clients, organized tours at Tinkerlab, assisted and repaired the 3D printer Replicators, and X16 has helped troubleshoot as needed. I managed the equipment, ensuring each piece was in place prior to class beginning and communicated with Daniel Lundberg to identify all parts and equipment needs for students.

           (19) I was an interim leader for the Faculty of Color Coalition's Social Supporting and Networking, which coordinated the Annual Honors and Recognition banquet. I hosted meetings with subcommittees, delegated tasks to members to arrange the banquet, and corresponded with the FOCC Co-leadership Council regarding budgets for food, decoration, awards, and guest speakers. The banquet location changed three times within 72 hours before the event date with help from Cheryl Wu, Khadijat Rashid, Danielle Thompson, and Bonnie Simmons.

 

SPRING 2024

Serving as member of search committee for the new Director of the Center for Nuestra Casa (Latine Deaf Studies)/Tenure Track Faculty position.
