Explanation of Activities Relevant to Scholarship/Creative Activity/Research:
(1) Mava paid for museum and art fair fees. He also self-funds travel to domestic locations to engage in artistic traditions and contemporary practices.
(2/12) He collaborated with students on the runway at the Lobby of Washburn Art Center and arranged the set production around the runway. He collaborated with John from the Facilities department, by installing the artwork on the wall. He shared mockup wall art, measured pieces, became an actor to deliver the artwork on the wall piece by piece. He dressed up as a drag queen who goes by the name “Missy Take”. The evening gown was sewn by Mava, he decorated his face with makeup and special effects, and became a persona. He became Mistress of Ceremonies and provided presentations on the artwork that students created for the show. Live streaming on Zoom and Instagram was also provided by Mava for all to view the show and it received thousands of views.
(4/5) He created a green screen in a room and developed the scripts for fashion design and a comedy show titled, "Unsolved Fashion." Mava developed several characters with different costumes, edited the videos, added captions and special effects, and converted text to voice for the hearing audience. He shared and promoted videos on social media to educate all on fashion design and its history.
(7) He created artwork during the year. Using it to apply to several residencies, fellowships, exhibition open calls, grants, and exhibitions in galleries—the process of artwork made from research and ideas to develop bodies of work. He bought canvases and supplies and spent hours creating the artwork. Taking photos of his artwork and editing the images.
(11) Received $3,400 from Constellation Energy and will use it for student awards.

Explanation of Activities Relevant to Scholarship/Creative Activity/Research:
(1) Mava paid for museums and art fair fees. He also self-funds travel to domestic and international locations to engage in artistic traditions and contemporary practices.
(2) He collaborated with artist, Ko Nam by advising on how to prepare the show, promoted the work by creating a postcard and poster.
(3) He designed flyers for student presentations.
(4/5) He attended exhibitions in Washington DC, New York City, Berlin Germany, Lisbon Portugal, and Savannah, Georgia. He researched artists’ biographies, wrote scripts, and filmed himself. He edited the videos, added captions and special effects, and converted text to voice for the hearing audience. He shared and promoted videos on social media to educate all about fashion design and its history. He also built a network with domestic and international artists, curators, and collectors.
(6/7) He studied a variety of software: TinkerCad, MakerBot related to 3D prints, and practiced the printing of models. He also used Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, CapCut for his artwork by editing.
(8) Creating artwork throughout the year, using it to apply to residencies, fellowships, exhibition open calls, grants, and exhibitions in galleries—the process of artwork made from research and ideas to develop bodies of work.
